the terror of badminton

haha...

it's been weeks since i exercise, like a month... dangerously unhealthy... but today i did go to Stadium to exercise. actually i didn't feel like exercise at all. haha... but my vegetarian friend, Charlene, said she wants to go, so i sort of go to accompany her. i pull myself together to find my sport shoes and was choosing what to wear when she told me she is not going... haiz...

anyway, nelson drove me there and hell no, it started raining heavily. as you all probably know, the basketball court in Stadium Likas is an outdoor one. it was really raining cats and dogs. i tag along and watch nelson went to pay and book his badminton court at the counter. omg, the counter girl in charge was super slooooowwww...

after dropping my sport bag, i grabbed my basketball and went outside to basketball court. nelson kept saying that it will rain and i can't play anyway. he asked me to play badminton with them instead. phew! badminton and me never share the same middle name. so in the end nelson played his little badminton game with daddy tie. haha!!! score one!

dribble, dribble, dribble, stop, shoot, BOIINNNGGGG!!! *hit both the rim and board but never went inside the rim*

what ever happened to my free throw???!!!

and would you believe the wind was so horribly strong? my basketball was kept blown off course. a free throw seemed amazingly to make. not to mention 3 points. after 15 minutes, i couldn't play anymore... i was drenched wet and my hair resembled the famous plant icon in Tanjung Aru...

i went back to play badminton with the boys in the end, much to nelson's delight. curses!!! stupid rain!!! why do you have to rain today? when i wan to exercise? sob...

when i went back, nelson "persuaded" me to play badminton with him. i gave up and grabbed the badminton racquet. have you ever see Tracy McGrady (basketball superstar) playing badminton? well, work your grey matter and imagine i'm doing that.

evil nelson kept "accidentally" hit the shuttlecock here and there to make me run around the court. he said i should move around more to exercise. haha, guess what nelson! dream on! my feet were as firmly glued to where i stand. i swear that i heard my collar bone joints crack a few times. i'm hopelessly hopeless in badminton.

next, daddy tie taught me how to smash the shuttlecock. he said it's like smashing fly. easy peasy! so i tried... you're kidding! i can't smash anything! no wonder there's so many flies near my house!!! haha, maybe i should hire the boys to get rid of them on behalf of me. hehe...

in the end i spent almost an hour watching nelson, daddy tie, jeremy and arthur play their badminton. they all buzzed here and there like bumble bees in a hurry to finish nectar collecting. arthur was really amazing with his smashing. jeremy ran around to hit the shuttlecock. how i want to ask him to take it easy... haiz so bored... badminton, badminton, i used to be very good in badminton, why you betray me and injure my hand? haiz...
