Recalling Exam

1. life & the universe
oh this is a screwed up one. come to think of it, i think i had written the wrong essay to be submitted and did not answer the question. it sounded logical at the time when i was writing. after this exam, it doesn't sound correct to me. yikes! 50 marks. zzz...

2. environmental biology
this is the friggin nightmare one. the one dat includes all the animal and plant kingdom in the living organism world. nightmare! took up most of my revision time.
at least it's not too bad.

3. chemical principles
i was so tired when i sat for this exam yesterday. why? i slept at 4am 'coz my neighbours upstairs were busy making love. thus the noise...
anyway, there's a few that i dunno how to answer. hence i wrote down the most logical possible answer i could think of.

4. introduction to environmental science
haha, possibly the main event of the exam. unfortunately, i was not very well prepared. why? 'coz my neighbours were having a karaoke sing-along thingy going on from 10pm till 2 am. in the end, i called the security. i just couldn't stand the noise when i was trying to sleep.

this is possibly the most i-dunno-what-the-heck-i-am writing one. there's no multiple choice questions or short structured questions whatsoever. instead we have 8 essay questions. yippee! not!

it was a nightmare. and i stuffed my brain with the entire book to find out that only 2-3 out of the 8 questions needed textbook knowledge. how pathetic! to be honest, i was very, very surprised that all the questions are like 1 sentence long with a big blank space underneath.

here's a glance at the question:
1. what are the human impacts on environment?
2. what is a geological mound? its input and output?
3. why is fossil fuel an ineffective energy source?
4. what environmental factors influence the vegetation?
5. what is point source water pollution? what about non-point source? what effect does non-point source water pollution has on agricultural area?
6.what are the alternative means to incineration of toxic wastes?
7. what are the anthropological effect on estuaries?
8. write down the differences between smog and haze and how they are formed.

can you believe i wrote a 7 page essay on this in 1 hour and 50 minutes? go jiaming...
