Radioactive and Scenes from a Clinic

Just came back from outside.
Glad. :)
Finished the medical checkup required.

First stop, a X-ray chest scan in SMC.
2 ppl in front of me, but still it was pretty quick.
Like 10 mins of waiting.

Soon, i was told to go to Room 2.
So scary walking to the alley.
Looks like a walk in an alley in a haunted hospital.

Saw a radioactive sign, pasted on the door.
Warning ppl not to enter when the light is on.
Wait and wait.

Count to 100 and the door was opened by a guy.
Waved me to come in.
Instructed me to change into the clothes provided.
In a changing room.

Couldn't open the door.
Claustrophobic.
Start to bang the door and scream for anyone.
Damsel in distress here.
Sadly, no one came.

After 2 mins, the same guy asked me to pull the door a bit while unlocking it.
Came out and feel the dizziness.
Look like an idiot,
for all the screaming and banging.

Scan and it was done.
Quick. Really quick.
The waiting part is longer.
It's a known fact anyways.

Next stop, a clinic in Damai.
To complete my call of the day.
A medical checkup by a doctor.

The clinic was old.
Needs renovation badly.
Some lights were out.
Air was not moving.
Feel slightly out of breath.

Three young men, one young savvy lady and two babies.
Waiting with their turn.

Was asked to stand on the weighing machine.
Was asked to pee in a urine bottle.
Went to the toilet behind.
Locked. Knocked on the door.
Thought there were no one in it.
And out came the young lady,
as proud as a peacock.
Staring hard at me. I said I was sorry.
Didn't seem pleased with me,
despite my apologies.

Soon it was my turn.
Went in.
The doctor measured my blood pressure and asked my medical condition.
Said I had gastritis on and off.
And now a nasty ulcer.
Showed him my medication, Controloc 40 mg
He said it was too strong.
Asked me whether I was wearing contact lenses,
despite the receptionist already asked me the same thing.
Must be my brown eyes causing confusion again.

I was released.
Not too pleased.
A lousy medical checkup like that,
can cost RM 150.
No wonder doctors earn a lot in a hour,
from silly peasants like us,
using their knowledge and silly gizmos,
like blood-sucking leeches,
from the comfort of their office.
