I finally got it right. My internet connection. It's not cheap you know, stabbing a AUD 40 ( RM 100) in my wallet every month. Now that's a blood-shooting, head-banging and heart-crushing pain...
As you all know, I'm a comp noob. I bought my prepaid internet card in the administration office this afternoon. Like a happy little girl who got her first ever lollipop, she hopped back to her room, full of anticipation of another day in the cyber world...
The obedient girl keyed in the pass code and basically followed every word printed in the instruction manual. The cable was broken in a such sad way that the laptop screen kept showing local connection error due to cable is loose" happily.
20 minutes past and this girl was starting to get really frustrated with the network connection. Still she was still lazy to call for technical support ( a text message using an Aust sim card can cause a whopping rate of AUD 40 cents for every message), so she decided to play technician of the day by simpily clicking this and that on the desktop. Miraculously, after 10 minutes of I-Don't-Know-The-Heck-Am-I-Doing-But-I-Gotta-Do-Something, the desktop showed Local And Internet. As fast as a bolt of lightning, she sign in for her Windows Messanger ID. and proceed to read her unread mails in inbox.
But halfway through reading mails, her good friend Clive asked her how is things going and they started to chat for 2 minutes. Then he asked her how fast is the internet connection and gave her a link to check it. Showed a 400 ++ kbps. Then she clicked on the mail button on her messanger again. Immediately her gateway for internet conncetion went kaput! and her thoughts of checking her Environment Biology enrolment was on Tuesday morning or afternoon was gone as fast as the internet connection. So is her friend Clive...
After a few feeble and unfruitful attempts to revive the haywire internet connection, the little girl gave up on all hopes for an afternoon of surfing the net. What's the smartest thing to do now? Play Far Cry 2 for 3 hours...
She then proceed to put all the trash into the trash bin in her room. As she stood up, her "big head" knocked onto the wooden book shelves and the heavy, solid wood plank went crashing onto her head, causing everything including the alarm clocks (yes I have two alarm clocks) and medicine box on the shelves to tumble in a such big bang that sent all her housemate to race into her room, wondering what the hell is going on...
Nothing is broken not even her head and her pride, except for one thing, her 99 cents blue mug she bought in Wooley's. There goes the brainwave of making a cup of steaming Jasmine tea for the day... Zzz...
Then she went to the common room to watch some TVs while chit-chatting with her housemates. She wanted to laid down on the couch and take a head rest coz her head hurts (probably b'coz the wood plank crash straight into her head like that) and everything is beginning to look a bit fuzzy dizzy. Once again, bad luck strikes as her head knocked hard onto the wooden sidearm of the sofa. Thutt! There goes her one year of intense Biology studying in IS. It's a pure miracle how she's not very low in IQ and EQ after so many head-hits combo incidents in her life dating back to since she was able to walk on her two legs. Her housemate clucked their tongues as the poor girl is rubbing to soothe her head from the two fatal "crash", pondering the utter continuation of her bad sense of coordination or the probability that she woke up at the wrong side of the bed that day.
Thank god, she finally managed to got the internet connection in the night, otherwise she might have to knock her head straight onto her laptop to put some sense into the electrical device... Now she's happily typing this post and her trusy readers are reading it... Cheers :)
