Second Day in Perth

Pics taken in 5 Feb. Just a few random pics.

It'a pity I forgot to bring my camera out the day before when we ride down town and went to King's Park to watch sunset. *sigh*
9 a.m. in Bullcreek. Neighbours house...
What are you? A magpie? The avians here... they make lots of weird sounds, like a child's laughter. haha.
Odd flower planted by my cousin. Wilted in summer b'coz of the heat?

Went to Woolsworth in bullcreek. just a 8 mins walk? haha.

The aussie supermarket is almost the same with sabah's. but the difference is obviously the products they sell. lots of never-before-seen food products. spaghetti. pastas. lasagna. even rice can be found here. the dairy product here are a enormous bundle man. so is the fruits and vege departments a wide selection to choose from, and much cheaper. i get to see parsnips and peach and lots of other veges that you see in your kindergarten picture dictionary. remember the fruits and veges section in the dictionary? well, that's what you'll find at here. chilli is expensive $25.71 per kg... shocking... a special cheese counter that eddie would like.
most of the stuffs are the same with sabah after the exchange conversion, except one thing that I noticed: tissue papers packets. the tissue here is not RM0.20. haha it's like $ 4.59 for 8 packets with 9 ply each. so buy more tissue paper before you come here. haha

my aunt's hse is close to my uni. (thank god) just pass two traffic lights and you'll see the big sign "Murdoch University". haha....
My lunch. Lime and black pepper potato chips and chocolate milk. bought in woolsworth in bullcreek. shud have bought the dijon mustard and honey one.

the milk will get thicker when you shake it just like the label said. haha...
this yogurt is very delicious, unlike the strawberry one in sabah with lots of artificial colouring and preservatives. will eat this with cereal in the future. hehe :P

went to my uni to get a status letter to get a bank account.went in this building. chancellery building if i m not wrong.
this silly black crow is found throughout the whole uni. made lots of silly noises. it's rili big, bigger than the size of a pigeon.
8 p.m. it's still bright and sunny in perth. thank god there's daylight saving... otherwise... nightmare...
notice: there's no fence or grill in any of the house... unlike malaysia... where ppl literally stay in a 50 X 25 feet grill in their own house.

eddie>> u bet it is. i walked to campus from hostel for two days (just a 5 mins walk)and my eyes are now dry and in agony b'coz the sun was just strong. and for these past few days, it's kinda hotter. definitely get a pair of sunglass before u come here.

I will make myself a pair of fake glasses with the Silver chloride? I forgot...The chemical used to turn the glass black when in contact with UV rays =P

The people there nice? Easy to make friends with? Because some of my cousin says its hard and some says its easy to mix around

haha. i dun think u will like the summer here. sizzling hot. ur silver chloride sun glass would just melt.

depends ur luck actually. some of them r rili bullshit with smug n snobbish attitude. n usually they would ignore u, despite how friendly u r. they will just skip u... but my housemate is fine. and some of them r friendly. i met a few nice one today. but no matter how friendly they r, usually they dun rili like to interact with asians in too deep.

anyway, i m gonna write a post bout it.

Wuar...I dun mean making friends with Ang Moh lar haha. I know its hard! My cousin says that they don't like us and 99% of the time, we won't be able to mix with them.

I dunno abt Aust. But in NZ, The ang moh got this friday night out and go drink beer until the next day. That's why its hard to mix with them.

I mean those Asians over there =P Easy to mix with?

ooo i c wat u meant. depends on ur luck. sum asians r friendly n u cn talk to them easily. but sum r hard, e.g japanese n chinese from china 'coz their eng is not very good. but actually most r okay. my sis met an asian cashier the other day when she went to buy potato chips. the cashier smiled at ang moh n was all so friendly to them, but when my sis approach her, her smile vanished instantly... lols!
